Google Considers Move for 700,000 sq ft of Office Space

Google are believed to be discussing a deal wherein the company would occupy around 700,000 sq ft of office space at a new complex in London in what will be a huge boost for the King’s Cross business district.

The deal would see them rent half of the space at a rate of $40s per dq ft, while purchasing the rest for around £200 million. The purchase would be a marked expansion for the company into London and is believed to be much more than any property industry experts had expected.

At present, Google occupies 121,500 sq ft of office space across two buildings in Victoria, but it has been scouring the capital for a single, longer-term base.
