Google to Shut Down Google Video
Google has announced news that should come as a shock to nobody after the company’s purchase of YouTube. The SEO giant will be shutting down Google Video according to an email sent to users of the service. They have been given until May 13th to remove videos from the site and the company have placed a download button on the video status page to make this process easier.
The company gave no reason for the sudden closure of the website and videos left on the site will stop playing after April 29th. The company stopped taking uploads in 2009 and the closure has been long suspected after the YouTube purchase. The company are currently encuraging users to move their videos to YouTube.
