Google TV Re-Emerges on iPhone
Google have announced that they are looking to revive the failed Google TV idea by bringing it to devices such as the iPhone and iPad by means of a handy app.
The product, which was ignored by customers and television networks alike amidst a disastrous showing at the Consumer Electronics Show, was believed to have been consigned to the wastebin of failed Google experiments. However it appears that the company are still looking to push the idea by releasing the app, which turns the devices into remotes for the smart TV, allowing users to change channel, alter volume and more.
Many still think that the idea is a case of “too little, too late” and it has already made an appearance on Google’s own Android operating system. The iOS version is free to download and requires only that your Google TV and iOS device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
