Google’s Blogger Platform to get Overhaul

Google have announced that they will be making a host of new changes to their Blogger platform, including giving it a new user interface while also adding a host of new features over the coming year.

A blog post made by product manager Chang Kim stated that 2010 had been a big year for the blogging platform, introducing features like a template designer, spam filter and real time stats in the process of establishing it as the sixth largest website in the entire world.

The search engine giant claimed that Blogger users had made more than half a billion blog posts over the course of last year, making up the equivalent of 5.3 million novels.

The next generation of the software will now be previewed at the South by South West conference.

“We’ll also be showcasing our new content discovery feature that lets you uncover interesting and related content based on the topics of the blog you’re currently reading,” Kim wrote on the blog post.
