High Speed Internet Considered Most Important Technology for Internet Users
A recent poll conducted by Zogby has discovered that 28% of those asked consider broadband internet to be the sole technology that they can’t live without, backing its claims to be the single technology that has had the highest impact on people in the last ten years.
Email came second in the study with 18%, while facebook managed to score around 3%, though it proved fairly popular among 18-24 year olds, with 15% claiming they couldn’t live without it.
Specifically looking at technologies that have had the greatest impact on society over the past 10 years, 24 percent named high-speed Internet, followed closely by Facebook at 22 percent. Google came in third at 10 percent.
The results showed some variation as women and adults under 55 classed facebook as having the most impact in the last decade, while adults between 35 and 54 were split evenly between the two.
