If you want success, then QUIT

If you want success, then QUIT…

#inthezone 53 – If you want success, then QUIT

They say success means different things to different people. One person’s perception of success, could be another person’s idea of failure.

One thing we must understand is measurement. It is a core fundamental for success to be achieved and, without it, success would cease to exist.

Without measurement success falls flat on its face and becomes a non-existent entity, a hollow shell that collapses in on itself. Measurement gives success structure, much like a skeleton gives form to skin and flesh.

So, when we look at so called successful people such as Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates etc, or it may be closer to home with friends or business colleagues that have a bigger house, a better car or a bigger bank balance, why is it we measure ourselves against their criteria?

Surely it would make sense to measure yourself against the outcomes you’ve set for yourself?

All too often, the problem I see with society in general is they see the end product, and that’s what they want. They don’t see the risks taken, the dedication implemented, the commitment made and the sacrifices to go without to achieve their success.

So here’s my advice, if you want success in your life. Quit. Quit looking at what others have, and set your own criteria, use others success as inspiration not assimilation.

Remember, they are not you and you are not them. You are unique. Once you stop comparing yourself to what others have or what they’ve achieved and you’re absolutely clear on what you want, you’ll start to measure your own success based on your own criteria. I promise you this, if you have this mindset, you’ll make huge strides in your life and your success will be limitless.
