It seems we were in the wrong business before, goodbye digital marketing and hello to the pharmaceutical industry! Okay, enough is enough, we’re only kidding (fooled ya), without further adieu let’s just get straight into it:

When is it never a busy week nowadays folks? Some amazing things have happened this past week. Let’s start with a ground-breaking moment for Britain as a whole…London saw its first ever Pakistani Mayor. Congratulations Sadiq Khan! You’ve made history already, we really have high expectations for you. This is a gigantic step towards a more equal and diverse future for Britain. We’ll talk more about this at the end, we could waffle on all day about the new Mayor, but we’re saving the best part for the last paragraph.

Staying on the topic of diversity, we have ANOTHER French intern, her name is Laura! That’s right, in total now that makes 4 French nationals in the office. Our team seems to be expanding, both in numbers and nationalities. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, diversity is key! Put some of the sharpest minds from across different cultures together and you have yourself a WMD – Weapon of Mass Destruction (not a real one, it was figurative…okay nevermind)!

Before you all EXPLODE with anger at that last poor joke (not sorry), we’re moving on again! So on Wednesday 11th May, Qasim attended yet another mastermind session with the man, the myth, the legend; a true mastermind of entrepreneurs – Mr. Moe Nawaz! As well as wanting to mention this particular event, Qasim also wanted to write something more personal to the legend himself.

And now, for your weekly dose of digital marketing related information, Instagram has a new update! It’s more of a rebrand actually. Instagram have come out and said that the update is a reflection of how the company has changed over the past few year, we’re really loving the new app and logo colours! This seems like the start of a new phase in which Instagram are changing how people are able to share photos. Definitely keep an eye out on the app now, it’s about to undertake some more big changes!

Fun fact: Over 80 million photos and videos are shared on Instagram EVERYDAY!

So we’ve rambled on again, think it’s about time to conclude this week’s episode. What better way of doing it than carrying on with the motivational story of Sadiq Khan! He’s really a shining example of overcoming the odds; the son of a bus driver, a man who once lived in a three bedroom council flat and a man who’s family encountered racism on a frequent basis! It just goes to show (sorry for the cliche) “you can do anything you put your mind to”… this really is a very topical and real example of that! Remember folks, some of it have had it bad growing up or the odds may be stacked against us; just remember that tough times NEVER last but tough people do! Stick to your goal, whether it is being the best lawyer in the UK or becoming a stand up comedian, keep at it until you’re content. When you’re not complaining you’re happy, and if you’re happy then essentially (as Gary Vaynerchuk puts it); you’ve won.
